Building the Healthcare Workforce at LearnMore

Each September, National Workforce Development Month» recognizes the programs and people helping build a skilled workforce and create pathways to economic opportunity. At Nile Sisters Development Initiative (NSDI), that work continues throughout the year through LearnMore», its healthcare workforce training program.
Established in 2019, LearnMore» was created to make high-quality, accelerated healthcare career training more accessible, giving individuals a pathway to enter the healthcare workforce and continue advancing in their careers.
Through classroom instruction, hands-on skills training, and clinical experience, LearnMore» prepares students to enter the healthcare workforce and build a foundation for continued advancement.
The need for that workforce is growing. More than 11,000 Americans are turning 65 each day», underscoring the need for skilled healthcare and direct-care professionals to support an aging population.
September also offered an opportunity to celebrate the people behind that work. On September 19, LearnMore» hosted its Pinning and Graduation Ceremony at Fairmount Center», bringing graduates together with their families and supporters to celebrate the completion of their healthcare training.
From its expanded training space at Fairmount Center in City Heights», LearnMore» continues to create opportunities for people to enter healthcare, develop their skills, and build toward what comes next.
As NSDI reflects on Workforce Development Month», it recognizes the students, graduates, instructors, and community partners who make that work possible, while continuing the work of preparing the healthcare workforce our communities will need for years to come.
