NSDI Advances Wellness and Self-Sufficiency Through Weekly Resilience Workshops
On May 6, 2025, twelve (12) refugee participants completed the Resilience Workshop series and received Certificates of Attendance for their commitment and participation in the sessions held from March through May 2025.
The weekly workshops focused on building confidence and readiness for meaningful career pathways while providing enhanced case management support. Over eight weeks, participants engaged in sessions led by a licensed psychotherapist, covering a range of topics including stress, anxiety, and other behavioral health challenges that often serve as barriers to employment and long-term career success for newcomers.
In addition to professional development resources, the program offered culturally responsive behavioral health education and community navigation services designed to support long-term wellness and self-sufficiency.
Through these ongoing workshops, NSDI continues to empower refugees with the tools and support needed to build stable, successful futures. The next 8-week Resilience Workshop series is scheduled to begin on July 10, 2025.
